We are confident that God will complete the work he started in us-v.6
Listen to the word- What have you discovered as some of your “prayer launches?” We do something enough and it becomes a habit. That is a good thing when it comes to incorporating the word into our lives. Be wise however, and don’t let it just become routine. If you catch yourself praying in “automatic pilot”, stop and change your focus. On the other side of that however, is that it is going to feel somewhat mechanical to listen to Philippians for 30 days. Work through that to discover the jewels God has for you in it. Diligence has its rewards.
Read the word – Philippians 1:6. Yes! This verse you have read before, but from a different focus.

Read the brief commentary – Paul addresses some unity and “teamwork” issues which arose in the Philippian church (see 1:27; 2:1-4, 14-16; 4:2-3). He calls them to humility and “looking out for the interests of others”. This is all based upon the example of Christ (2:5-11). But prior to that is the underlying truth which we are focused on today. This is extremely significant for us personally and those with whom we share life. He told the Philippians that he had a God-given confidence that the work God started in them, He would finish. Paul was focused on the God who was working on them and would not stop until Christ returned. He was not focused on their faults.
You may feel at times that you are hopeless and that you will never get past where you are now. Know this. Just as Paul was confident that God had not finished with the Philippians, He is not finished with you. He won’t be until Jesus comes back. Has Jesus come back yet? Then He is still working on you and God completes what he starts. Is there someone in your life that you just wish God would get a hold of? He is still working on them too. Maybe that will help you be patient, let go of trying to fix them and let God work unhindered.

are in relationship? How do you think you could go about getting that confidence
2. Take some time to think back on where you used to be. Are you farther along in your walk with Christ now? How about your spouse? If you have progressed, that is something for which you can be thankful and have hope for the future. If you have not, maybe you know why or maybe you could ask God to show you and get feedback from some close trusted believers. What do you believe God would have you do?
