Playing on his farm he waits patiently, for the bell to ring letting him know there’s a family in need.He wiggles his snout and away he goes, where he’ll end up nobody knows.
Peeking through the window to see why he's here, he realizes his purpose, it all becomes clear. Dad is on the computer, mom is on her phone, brother is playing video games, and sisters are all alone. Next thing you know, they’re all on the run- there’s ballgames and ballet and homework to be done.
Piggy watches for a while, there is no communication. Everyone’s in their own world, they need a family vacation. A time to be together without the world’s distractions; Piggy says to himself, “I think the beach is a perfect plan of action.”

About the Author
Wendy Westerfield is a wife to an amazing husband and mommy to 3 beautiful kiddos. Her love for the Lord, homeschooling her children, and unplugged family time led her to create the Adventures with Piggy Series. Wendy’s first book, Adventures with Piggy, A day at the Beach is intended to encourage and help others to balance the joy, blessings and chaos that come with having a young family.
Ashley Boh is an artist from Kentucky who enjoys illustrating books, telling stories through animation, and sculpting jewelry with polymer clay. Her passion for drawing people in action has helped inspire her to bring The Adventures With Piggy to life through the art of illustrating.
