To be able to handle trouble. To be victorious in the face of apparent defeat.
THERE ARE FIVE BENEFITS TO BEING A CHILD OF GOD.
1. We are the Sons of God. John 1:12 13.
JOH 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
JOH 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
2. We have Everlasting Life.John 3:36.
JOH 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
3. We are Forgiven all our Sins.Ephesians 1:7
EPH 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; PG-1
4We are kept by the Power of God.1 Peter 1:3 5.
1PE 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
1PE 1:4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that
fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
1PE 1:5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
5. We are ever with Christ. Colossians 3:3COL 3:3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
NOW SOME PEOPLE WANT ALL THE BENEFITS; BUT NOT THE WORK.

TO BE SCRIPTURALLY EFFECTIVE AND VICTORIOUS
THERE MUST BE A PERSONAL ACCEPTANCE OF TWO BASIC TRUTHS
I. WE ARE CALLED FOR A PURPOSE.

that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

WE ARE CALLED TO A TASK. 2 COR 5:17 20. 2CO 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2CO 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 2CO 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 2CO 5:20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. 3. Joy in Fruitfulness. 1 Cor 3:11 15. 1CO 3:11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid,
which is Jesus Christ. 1CO 3:12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 1CO 3:13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.1CO 3:14 If any man's work abide which he hath built there upon, he shall receive a reward.PG-4 CHRISTIAN STEWARDSHIP SERIES, BIBLE CLASS.FILE NAME CSS P16-O4WPD; PART SIXTEEN OF SIXTEEN.
