Responsible Parenting
Parenting is the hardest, yet the most rewarding job that you will ever have. I want to get right to the point. What is so hard about parenting? Performing the duties of a parent is not hard, the only thing that we must do is follow the divine plan that is given. The thing that makes the job easy is wanting to do the job properly.
To make sure the job is easy, use the plan that God gave us to prepare ourselves to become willing persons. We are good by our own standards. However, we are not the meter by which we will be measured. The reason why the world was not designed the way we wanted it to be is because we would have all killed each other by now. God would not allow all of us to kill each other. Each day He gives us a new chance to get it right.
Now let us follow the simple steps at the beginning of the book which is just common sense to parenting our children.
We must treat our children properly. Parents/adults are doing the evil, hideous things that are being done to our children. Many of us got very angry when the law was written telling us that we could not use corporal punishment on our children. Let me explain the contents of that law. Some of us are not just spanking our children, we are criminally abusing them. Children were going to emergency rooms with repeated broken bones, concussions, raped for years, malnourished, dehydrated, burned, missing limbs, left alone in house for weeks, and the list goes on.
Judges in the courts knew that allowing these crimes to continue happening to our children at such an alarming rate, the justice system would have been accused of not protecting our children. Therefore, the law made it illegal to hit a child in any fashion.
America, these children’s own parents, a close friend, or a family member committed these crimes. Because of this law, we make it say what we want it to say. We use this law to justify our poor parenting skills, and to justify our unruly children. Nonetheless, my friends, what we are doing this day and time, is just simply a form of poor parenting. People, if we do not fix ourselves, it is not humanly possible to ever measure up to becoming proper parents.
Let me assure you that the way that you treat your children today will take a direct effect on their lives in the future. Parents, all the law is asking out to do is stop committing criminal acts against your children or anyone else’s children. Additionally, we are not teaching our teenage children the proper way to be responsible for younger children. Please do not allow teenaged children to babysit your younger children of anyone else’s child.
