Encourage Yourself in the Lord

There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences in ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all.

Activate Your Passion

I’m sure you have asked yourself from time to time why you were put here, why you were born and what are you called to be doing. And these are the golden questions to living on purpose. You may feel uncertain about who you are but the questions I have for you today is what is your passion? And what is it that you would do each day even if you received no profit from it? If you know instinctively, then that is what you need to invest your time, energy and resources into because it is tied to who you are and what you are called to do. But if you are unsure, then maybe it is time to start on the road to this revelation which can only come from God because He is the One that has instilled in us the many diversifying talents that may have been dormant inside of you but waiting for you to activate.

Activation requires concentrated participation and it cannot be taken lightly. In order for our passion to collide with purpose, we must be present. But there are these things called distractions that can alter our level of engagement which in turn deactivates our progress to purpose. If we spent more time in the things that we are passionate about instead of the demands of others (i.e. distractions), we will realize as this scripture verse mentions that “God works all in all.” When we follow our passion, we will gain profit from it. Now I am not saying that we will all be millionaires tomorrow and the word profit doesn’t necessarily mean monetary but we do become rich in purpose which is worth more than all the silver and gold and all the stuff money has to offer.

Today is the day that you should activate the passion that is inside you. Today is the day that you should ignite the fire that God has placed in you. Today is the day that you should work at that unique gift God has given you. I challenge you this morning to identify the very thing that drives you and ask God to assist you in developing this area so that it can manifest into your purpose. The answer may not come overnight, but what it does require is a trigger but you my friend must be the one that pushes it to be released.
