“You want me to go where?”
“To earth,” God told Gabriel.
“Dear God, every time I go down there, it seems that something radical happens.”
“You’re not responsible for anything happening to anybody. You are my messenger.”
“Some folks don’t like the messenger when he brings bad news.”
“Well, I’ve got some good news for you to deliver.”
“Glad to hear that. What is it?”
“I want you to go down to Nazareth.”
“And?”
“I want you to go to the home of a young girl whose name is Mary. And I want you to tell her that she is going to become the mother of a Child.”
“Why do I have to tell her that? All she has to do is agree with her husband to bear a baby.”
“But her husband will not be the child’s father.”
“Uh oh. She won’t like that. Why I’m surprised that You would suggest such a thing.”
“But Gabriel, you don’t understand about redemption.”
“Redemption? What is that?”
“It is something you will never understand because you cannot experience redemption.”
“Why?”
“Because you are already a spirit being, and redemption is for the human family.”
“Ok, I can accept that, but tell me again what You want me to do.”
“I want you to go to Nazareth, to see a certain young woman named Mary. Tell her that she has been chosen to become the mother of the Christ, the Saviour promised to Israel in the Holy Word a long time ago.”

About the Book
Jesus is the reason for the season, and the reason for all seasons.
The Bible teaches us, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” Genesis 1:1. And in John’s Gospel 1:1, we find, “When the world had its beginning, the Word was already there, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
The Christmas season is a reminder to children and adults that “The Word”, who is Jesus Christ, came from Heaven to this earth in order to become the Saviour to every person who is willing to believe and put their trust in Him.
These Bible stories related to the nativity are unequaled in literature. Four human-interest stories reveal how children can connect to Jesus through faith and also through adversity.
So, I invite you to sit down with your children and let them hear these refreshing messages that will fi ll their hearts to overfl owing with love for God and love for family.

About the Author
Wade T. Burton has served as a Southern Baptist minister for more than fifty-seven years in South Carolina. He received his formal education at Erskine College and Seminary. He has written two other books: One was a daily devotional entitled, Think on These Things, plus a book of eighteen sermons, Messages with A Mission.
In most of his pastorates he would present Kids’ Korner at Morning Worship. This was a special time with the children when they would be invited to come to the front pew. Pastor Burton would delight in sharing a simple object lesson that the children could easily understand. These intimate lessons endeared him to the children that he loved.
It is his prayer that these Christmas stories will bless the children with faith in Christ and faithfulness to God.
