"No Joseph. Do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife. The child she carries is the Lord's son, and you are to name him JESUS. Emanuel, for God will be with you. You are truly blessed, Joseph. The Lord has chosen you to care for His son."
Joseph stood amazed at Gabriel's words. "Why me? I am just a simple carpenter. I will never be a learned man. What could I possible teach the Lord's son?"
Gabriel hopped down from the bench and picked up a small wooden plane and puzzled at its simplicity. "You could teach him how to use these tools to make something useful. When you and Mary have children of your own you can teach him the responsibilities of being a brother. You can teach him what it means to be a man. There is a difference in creating humanity and experiencing being part of humanity."

About the Book
Christmas is full of adventure for the angel, Gabriel, for Joseph and Mary, and for those who believe Christmas is the beginning of the greatest adventure of all -- living your life according to Lord's purpose.
About the Author
I live in Louisville, Kentucky. I am a graduate of Western Kentucky University with a degree is Elementary Education. I wanted to teach children how to read, but the Lord had other plans. So, I have used my teaching abilities working with the children in church. In my professional life I work with college students, mainly adults who enter college after years of being out of school, and they have taught me you should never stop learning. People tend to think of Christmas and Easter as separate holidays, but I think of them as the beginning and ending of the same. Christmas is the start of the adventure believers have with the Lord, and I suspect the angels had quite a few adventures themselves as they told Mary and Joseph, shepherds, and The Wise men some pretty fantastic news - Good New! I like to do needle work, especially quilting. I come from a long line of quilters. I also like to read histories, biographies, mysteries and poetry. When my church celebrated it 100th anniversary I wrote the church's history. I have had one of my short stories published as well as poems and devotional material.
