About the Author

Sharon Connors is an ordained minister who currently serves as senior minister at Christ Church Unity in El Cajon, California. Having been a minister for over twenty years, she has served ministries in Gainesville, Florida and San Francisco, California as well as being senior minister at Unity Village Chapel on the campus of world headquarters for Unity in suburban Kansas City, Missouri. Rev. Connors has been steeped in prayer traditions from her earliest days in parochial schools. Her book, Adventures In Prayer: Praying Your Way To A God You Can Trust, was published in the United States by Bantam Publishing in 2004 and in the United Kingdom by Hodder & Stoughton Limited in 2003. Her articles have been published in newspapers in San Francisco, Florida and Kansas City. Her articles have also been published in her own denominations’ publications, Daily Word and Unity Magazine and the International New Thought Alliance magazine. She has been quoted and noted in book reviews, the Kansas City Wellness Magazine and in Science of Mind magazine. Prior to ministry, Rev. Connors was involved in a wide variety of careers including therapist, school counselor, teach of Spanish and Motivating Human Behavior. This diverse background provides her with a deep understanding of people and a strong foundation for understanding children and their challenges. Rev. Connors lives in San Diego, California where she enjoys rollerblading, dancing and, most of all, spending time with her children and three grandsons.
