About the Book
The lives of our children are being destroyed by drugs, gangs, and so often the loneliness of growing up without a mom or a dad. Many moms and dads have given up all hope of a better life for their families. People all over our world, are hungry not only for food, but also for a stabilizing force in their lives.
Our mission as Christians is to bring the love, mercy, and saving grace of Christ to the hurting, the hungry, the thirsty, and the helpless, on planet earth.
To impact the world in which we live, we must first focus our faith firmly on God, who created our world. When our lives are focused on Christ’s example, and we accept the great mission that He gave us, the world will become a better place for everyone.
My dear brothers and sisters, dare to reach out and become the hands and arms of Jesus, and to embrace the hurting and brokenhearted of this world with His love. There are people dying every day all over the earth without Christ’s saving grace or mercy. We have Christ’s love living within us. Brothers and sisters, we must dare to give it away.
About the Author
Janet Susan Williams submitted her first song lyrics at age ten, and at age sixteen, was invited to the Nebraska Governor’s mansion to discuss her work. She has been writing songs, poetry, and short stories since then. Her poetry has been read on radio and television, has been internationally published by Blue Mountain Arts Greeting cards (under the pen name Janet Kostelecky Nieto), and has been recognized by three New Mexico State Governors. Mrs. Williams is also affectionately known as “Little Orange Shoes,” a name that she often uses in ministry. Her songs and poetry reflect on many different aspects of life, but all have a deep focus on the healing and delivering power of the cross of Christ and God’s magnificent love. Her greatest desire is to use God’s gifts as a means to glorify God and to convey His love, His compassion, His encouragement, and His saving grace, to the world around her. Mrs. Williams has been a volunteer with Conviction for Christ prison ministry for the past two years. Although a native Nebraskan, she now lives in her beloved New Mexico with her best friend and husband, Al, and their little beagle, Rio. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren are the joy of her life.
