Be Still
All the possibilities are reaching right in front of me
but Im moving in slow motion and now it's got the best of me
I mean really, to endure and perservere would be so severe
critical in this state of mind and Im aware
that Im commanded to stand firm press for the goal
but at the same time the enemy is fighting for my soul
Help me Father to lift up my hands
give you praise you deserve even if I don't understand
I wanna know your plan I wanna do your will
so I tell my spirit to hold tight and you tell me to be still
I am man and you are God even if it may sound odd
you got my back until the end
if you get me just nodd your head
cause if it wasn't for Him you would have been dead
but He saved you redemeed you and wants to use you instead
so I encourage you to be still trust in the savior of your soul
He loves you so much He can't imagine letting you go

About the Author
Cheris Marie Munoz was born in Bronx, New York, and lived most of her life in Orlando, Florida. She married her high school sweetheart, Miguel Munoz in 1999. Due to his military career, they travel to many places along with their three children, Miguel, Isaia, and Mariah. Her desire for writing poetry began when she was in grade school. Cheris has written eulogies for funerals and poetry at different church events. Cheris also writes her own songs and enjoys singing them when opportunities arise. Her inspiration for this book is to pour out hope, love, and encouragement to the broken-hearted, and her prayer is to hear of lives touched and spirits lifted up as the Lord uses her poetry as a tool to minister to every reader.
