Unearth the Gift
Introduction to Your Inner Discovery
Love is the music of the soul. Love is a tune from above.
Everyone attempts to sing the melody of heaven. Sadly, we taint our lives, blurt out songs of hate, and hurt each other.
In the furnace of hate, love still exists. However, we have to look harder to find love in us and around us.
In the midst of struggle, we need to stop, be still, and look above.
During quiet times with God, love becomes clearer. With a gentle heart, love grows to bind your senses, your mind, and your being. At the same time, life sings louder when you share love with no strings, no conditions, and no longings in return.
In quiet junctures, hope opens the gate, love unfolds its beauty, and truth reveals its power. Nurture the moments. One fleeting time may be the rare instant the soul opens its door. One instant may be the only time the mind welcomes change. One sobering moment may be the only time the heart welcomes love. During brief moments of realization, many squander their chances and live in a spiritual coma, and as a result, go to their graves with their dreams shackled, their potential unreleased, and their gifts from God unwrapped.
I pray for moments of meekness as you unfold the life you have been given. Also, I pray for openness as you meet the Giver of life. Revere the moments. Nurture the tenderness.
Each day, unwrap your gift. Search the richness of heaven planted in your soul. As you seek the One who gave you life, follow the homing beacon God has placed in your heart.
Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life” (John. 14:6a). As you look to God, He will unveil your life, your identity, and your destiny.
Unleash the Beauty and Power of Love directs you to the Bible. “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Tim. 3:16, 17).
The Bible is the guidebook to instruct your heart, the measuring stick to gauge your life, and the lamp to light your path. 1 Search the Word of God. 2 Write the law, the love, and the grace of God on the tablet of your life. The Word will guide you, help you, and give you life. However, you decide how deep truth sinks down into the inner sanctum of your soul. At the same time, you select the intensity with which love shines from your heart.
Unleash the Beauty and Power of Love has seven sections. They are:
Part One: Rhythm of Love
Part Two: Sharing the Heart
Part Three: Facets of Life
Part Four: Hearts Grown Cold
Part Five: Tools of Life
Part Six: Life Under the Sun
Part Seven: Your Next Step
Seven principles are woven into this book. These truths provide guidance to souls searching for peace, meaning, and life. These principles are:
1. Love is the currency of life. The heart is the soul’s garden where compassion grows.
2. Creation and life are meant to praise God--no other purpose, no other intent.
3. Accept grace from heaven, for God is the Source of joy, peace, and life.
4. God gave gifts ready to be unwrapped. Open your gift today.
5. Live in the fullness God intended. Even in tough times, glean the moments.
6. The duty of man is “to fear God and keep His commandments” (Eccles. 12:13b).
7. Embrace God’s love and share it each day.
These truths work. They transformed my life and helped many friends. These principles can change your life, too. When you bear these truths, you open the gift of life.
Unleash the Beauty and Power of Love exposes the life within. This book invites you to slow down when you clash with truth and to stop and listen during trying times. At the end each chapter, the Questions to Search Your Soul section encourages you to look within. Probing questions prime your heart to expose its essence. Do the exercises. Answer the questions. Be honest. Be open. And be true to yourself.
As you walk forward, find kindred souls. The journey sweetens when noble hearts surround you. Form support groups with family, friends, and neighbors. Share life lessons. Uphold one another in truth, nurture one another in love, and help one another march toward meaningful lives.
“Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ” (Phil. 1:6).
God walks near you and love waits to be ushered in. Each day, foster a teachable heart and nurture a humble soul. Set aside a soul-searching time to take off your mask, bare your soul, and find your life. As you spend quiet time in solitude, listen to the gentle voice and follow the nudging unction of God.
Be ready to reflect the glory of God. Engage life for an eternal cause. Unleash the Beauty and Power of Love.
