I joined Marie, who had an IV protruding from her arm. Transfusion and saline bags hung from the stainless steel pole behind her. A minute later the attending physician joined us. Doug Knox has is a writer-speaker and teacher, with contributions to Faith Writers, Discipleship Journal, and numerous anthologies. He and his wife, Patty, are members of Bethel Baptist Church, Savannah, Ohio. Together they have five adult children and four grandchildren.
