God defined you as a man by the role he has assigned to you. The simplest description I can give you about your identity would be that of a Prince Gardener.
The Lord God placed the man in the Garden of Eden to tend and watch over it.
Genesis 2:14 NLT
This verse contains the very first duty or responsibility our Father ever gave to us. We are to be stewards of His creation. We are gardeners in the since that we are responsible for cultivating and preparing an environment for the body of Christ to bear fruit.
And since we are his children, we are his heirs…
Romans 8:17 NLT
What are you an heir to? Son, you are an heir to the kingdom of God. If Jesus Christ is the King of Kings and we are co-heirs to the kingdom, then we are princes. You are a prince. More completely, you are a Prince Gardener. This is your identity. A prince who seeks service; that is the definition of a real man.
Now don’t walk around everywhere you go with your nose in the air telling random girls you’re a prince. How you carry yourself and love others is the proof of your royalty. No one wants to be subject to a prince who isn’t willing to get his hands dirty in service to others. That's where the gardener part comes in. You have to be royal and a servant all at the same time. If you can begin to grasp this concept, you are on your way to being a real man.

About the Book
Many men today have grown up without the mentorship of a godly father. As fathers and husbands these same men now face struggles and decisions they were not prepared for. When asked, “What defines a man?” many men are confused or uncertain. The letters you hold in your hand will help paint a picture of what God requires a man to be.
About the Author
Jay Teague has served as a military and firefighting veteran for the last fourteen years and now serves as an associate pastor and professor of biblical studies. Jay’s first love in ministry is disciple making—seeing men turn their lives around to begin living for Jesus Christ.
He believes that evangelism starts with the men. If he can reach a man, he has successfully reached his wife and children as well.
The author has served and taught on the mission field in Africa, Guatemala, Brazil, and Peru. Jay now resides in West Texas with his wife, Monica, and two beautiful daughters.
