Many believers are lost in the land of "have nots". You have been told that you are worthless, no good, weak sinners for so long until it has become attached to your consciousness. Your focus is on weakness because you have been told you do not have strength. Your focus is on sin because you have been told that you are a sinner by nature. The land of the have nots is a place where royal, strong, godly believers live as weak, sinful, sickly slaves because they are ignorant of what they actually have and are in Christ!
The word life (Gr. ZOE`) means divine nature. When the Jesus says in John 17:2, "As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him”. He is really saying He will give you His very own nature, the very nature of the Father. Don’t get me wrong, heaven is a promise of blessed hope but Eternal life is the nature of the Eternal One in you even NOW as your very own nature.
We have this nature the moment we accept Jesus as Lord and we are filled with the Spirit of God to be recreated into the likeness of the first son Jesus Christ (Rom. 8:29).
1 John 5:11 says, “... God hath given to us eternal life (His very own nature)”.
His nature is not optional! As His kids we must have His DNA or nature. This is not based on any work of your own (Eph. 2:8-9). This is a product of the finished , redemptive work of Christ. Eph. 2:10 says, "You are His workmanship (or the product of His work)". In other words He made you righteous. You cannot make yourself righteous. You do not grow into righteousness. No, You are MADE righteous. The scripture says, " For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be MADE the righteousness of God in him" (2 Cor. 5:21). You don’t get to choose to be righteous after rebirth, you get to choose to display it. Receiving the nature of the Father is not optional!
The thought of you having the nature (ability, wisdom, or character) of the Father is the IDEA of the Father and the WORK of Christ. It is a GIFT (Rom. 5:17). We must learn to how think with this new mind we have. We must learn how to release this new ability we now possess. We must learn to display this new character we are. We must learn to give place to this new wisdom we now have.
This is the purpose of the Word of God. The word of God renews the mind of the believer that we may prove (or experience) this newness of life (Rom. 12:2). The word of God is the tool of the Holy Ghost. What a hammer is in the hand of a builder, so is the Word to the Holy Spirit. He brings us into the knowledge of this newness we have in Christ and our union with the Father through the Word of God.
All who are in Christ have the light of life (John 8:12). The word LIGHT in the Greek is (foce`) and it means - the ability to manifest. All who are born of the Spirit have the ability to manifest the life of God. You have the ability to manifest this nature, ability, wisdom, character and mindset everywhere you go. You have become what He is, “...because as he is, so are we [not when we get to heaven but] in this world”. (1 John 4:17).
You have the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. The wisdom of the Lord flows freely through you. You have the very nature of the Lord. Through Christ you have become unstoppable. YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES!
