Most people I know ponder a serious question at the end of each month…Where did my money go? It would seem, as Dave Ramsey, author of numerous financial help books says, “There seems to be too much month at the end of my money.” This problem has become the norm for an overwhelming majority of Americans today and quite problematic. Why? The answers are actually numerous however, there are some basic principles in place in our economic system that are so easy to explain yet mysteriously removed from the average way of thinking. The result… a nation chained to debt and financial ignorance. I was cursed with serious debt for the first 20 years of my working life and clueless as to why. I continued to find myself living paycheck-to-paycheck, making minimum monthly payments, and constantly broke. I just couldn’t get a handle on my earnings. I worked hard, obeyed all the rules and considered myself a working-class American that just couldn’t get ahead. I soon began to realize I could barely keep my head above water. I would look around and observe people with nice homes, new cars and toys and simply figured everyone else had a better paying job or was just born luckier than I was. That was until I began to understand my lack of knowledge about personal finances and modern systems of money management and realized the pernicious lies that the financial institutions had taught me. Like most Americans, I believed if I worked hard and paid the bills I would eventually get ahead in life. This may have been true for former generations of Americans, but it wasn’t working for my generation and certainly not for me. So, several years ago I set out to discover what was wrong with my generational way of thinking, and through prayer and ample study, I not only discovered answers that changed my family tree but found great insight into a matrix of modern financial misconceptions and misguided ideas designed to enslave us all to a world corporate banking system. I found that I had been taught very irresponsible principles created to keep you and me in perpetual debt which results in huge profits for the banking industry.

Bob Hopkins is a professional fire investigator and heads the fire marshal’s office in Weatherford, Texas. He is an avid speaker and amateur historian who, like most Americans, became fed up with debt and set out on a quest to find out why regular folks just like him are covered up in debt. He believes he has the answer. Bob lives in historic Weatherford, Texas, with his wife, Debbie. He is a division chief with his local fire department, a deacon at Grace First Presbyterian Church, a member of countless civic and community organizations, and, most importantly, a Christian.
