God's plan of salvation for the world, based on the Abrahamic covenant and the later covenants with Israel that expanded it, revolves around Israel in every way. Salvation comes to the world through Israel and only through Israel. But even more importantly, the ultimate salvation and blessing of Israel itself is the preeminent component of this plan, the capstone and goal of God's plan in the covenants and prophets. The new covenant, with its saving blood of the Messiah (Luke 22:20) was made "with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah" (Jer. 31:31). Salvation flowing to the nations is always derivative and secondary. The nation of Israel was, is, and always will be the chosen people, the covenant nation of God.

About the Author
Mr. Morgan is a retired college professor with an M.A. in Old Testament Biblical Studies (1977) from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. His primary interest now is theological research and writing. He has created and maintains two theological Web sites, RediscoveringTheBible.com and MessiahStudies.org. Believing he has been called by the Lord into Jewish ministry, he also serves as Webmaster and contributing writer for Ammi Ministry in Philadelphia, an organization dedicated to presenting the Messiah of Israel to the Jewish people.
