There are now billions of people living on the earth-every one of whom has a spirit, a heart, and a soul. Of these, probably the majority are vaguely aware that they have a spirit, a heart, and a soul, but very few people actually know or understand the origin of their spirit, heart, and soul. Some may not even care about where they came from and have not even given it any thought; they're here and that's all that matters! However, it is a very rare person who does not yearn to know their destiny-what will happen to them when they die. This is the book I wanted to read but could not find! After searching for it for many years, I began the process of writing it myself:
With many questions, I began a journey I found the truth within a Book I found the clues within the truth I wove the clues together And found ... the answers
This is the book that will tell you both your origin and your destiny. It will tell you where you came from and where you are going. It will tell you where heaven is, where hell is, and how to get to one and avoid the other! This book contains the answers to the questions of life and death—answers found in the Book that contains the ancient words of eternal life.
It is a book written for:
- those who go about their lives in quiet desperation, in the hope that when they die, they will somehow end up in the right place;
- those who believe there is a God, but who are not really sure what to do about that belief, or if, in fact, they need to do anything;
- those who don't believe in God, or suspect that they might believe the wrong thing, and are living with a mild anxiety about the possibility that they themselves may be mistaken and that this may have eternal consequences;
- those who once had faith, but have somehow left the path; and
- those who have faith, but are not sure of the answers to some of the important issues of life and death and the reasons for what they believe, and who have a desire for deeper understanding and clarity.
In fact, this book is for all those who are seekers of truth. It is a book for you!

When you consider your life and analyse what is really important, you may come to the realization that possessions, wealth, career, social standing, and worldly happiness are not really as important as you thought, or certainly as the world would have you think. All these things are temporary and will one day fade away. All earthly possessions and positions are on loan. Even your family, whom you may love very much, cannot give you the real joy, peace, and fulfillment that you yearn for.
Jesus told this parable:
"The land of a rich man produced plentifully, and he thought to himself, 'What shall I do, for I have nowhere to store my crops?' And he said, 'I will do this: I will tear down my barns and build larger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. And I will say to my soul, 'Soul, you have ample goods laid up for many years; relax, eat, drink, be merry.'' But God said to him, 'Fool! This night your soul is required of you, and the things you have prepared, whose will they be?' So is the one who lays up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God."-Luke 12:16-21
"This is what the LORD says: 'Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom or the strong man boast of his strength or the rich man boast of his riches, but let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight'" (Jer. 9:23-24 NIV). Only being restored to your heavenly Father can bring real joy, true and lasting peace, and fulfilment of your purpose in life. If you have peace with God, you have hope for the future-eternal life. The psalmist asked: "Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you" (Ps. 73:25), and Paul said: "I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord" (Phil. 3:8 NIV).
Knowing that your future is safe in God's hands relieves you of the unnecessary worry over everything else in life-the drive to accumulate wealth, the need to climb the social or corporate ladder, the disappointment of relationships, the uncertainty and frailty of health, and the inevitability of ageing. None of that really matters in the light of eternity and would pale in comparison with the knowledge that you have eternal life!
