The Bitter Side of LOVE

Angela continued. “My friend, I am very wrong if I have never told you before. To be truthful, you cannot keep on living as if God does not exist and expect to live in peace. Every person has an opportunity to experience the blessings that follow the good plans God has for those who will put their trust in Him.”
Abednego could not hold his peace anymore. Neither did he find interest in her narration. “Amen! Amen!” he teased. “For heaven’s sake, I did not come here for a church service. Are you calling me the most sinful person on earth?” he asked angrily.
Angela was dumbstruck.
“After I have been so good to you, this is how you propose to reward me?”
“I am very sorry. I think you misunderstood me,” she responded.
“No, I understood you very clearly,” he remarked angrily. “You think you are the only woman in this world?”
“Abednego, please—”
“Do not please me. You make me fall for you so that you can play with my mind by breaking my heart with your religious dogmatism.”
“I did not make you fall for me.”
“Of course you did. All the time you wanted me to be around you, pretending I was of help to you, while in reality, you were dying for my attention.”
“That’s not true!”
With the speed of lightning, Abednego made a motion toward her with an intention of grabbing her, but she cleverly dashed aside.
“Keep your truth to yourself. Your feminine gimmicks disgust me! You have raised my hopes just to disappoint me … doing it brings you peace … eh! Answer me you fool!”
“Why are you acting like this? What do you want from me?” she inquired.
He did not respond. Instead he again moved to her direction intending to get closer to her. She got scared and could not give him another chance to try and grab her. She rapidly reached for the door, swiftly turned the knob, and swung open the door. With her eyes wide with fearfulness and her chest pounding like a marathon runner at the end of the race, she ordered, “Leave my room now!”
