INTRODUCTION
Jesus told many parables while on this earth. Some He explained, some are easy to interpret, while some are deep and being studied today.
Parables are often analogies with a lesson. The story itself may be simple but may also have a secondary and deeper principle.
The Mirror in the Box---is a parable of a King who adopts three orphaned boys. It is a parable written for children, but may be applied to adult lives as well. It tells of three boys, who grew to be men, and how they reacted to their invitation to receive their kingdom inheritance. It tells of their struggles with problems that made them feel unworthy, and how they attempted to correct it.
Being a parable, there are several symbols that are explained in the Post Script.

About the Book
The Mirror in the Box is a parable about a king who adopted three orphaned boys. He loved them, taught them, and tried to prepare them for the inheritance of his kingdom. He also tried, unsuccessfully, to protect them from the hazards of life. This is written as a children’s story but has applications for adults as well.
About the Author
Marilyn J. Ferguson is the author and illustrator of this book. She is also the author and illustrator of Eve's Song—Eve Tells Her Story. She is a retired nurse and lives in a beautiful rural setting by one of the Finger Lakes in upstate New York. She is busy with yard work, painting, and spending time with her grandson, Ian, to whom this book is dedicated.
