It is unfortunate that many of the Christians today are dominated by materialistic religion, the most precious time and grace the church has today is being dragged into focusing on selfish-prosperity. The church has become a spiritual parasite as it continuously give God a deaf ear to the Lord’s commands, chasing and only interested in His blessings yet denying the responsibilities that come with the blessings. If you can check for instance the Muslims , followers of the Muslim religion, they are united in their faith and have all one language in all. They slightly , silently , united penetrate our communities and through their basic trainings they gradually infiltrate communities where they exist and have one common goal, to dominate where ever they are represent in all, without flyers, posters, expensive PA systems, no tents, no radio and TV adverts, nothing but just themselves with the works of their religion which they are faithfully doing. My serious concern is with the Christians today, we enjoy talking big, playing big, impressing big time and dream big things but we forget to invest in the fundamental places which carry the potential to grow His kingdom on earth, through our lives the world around us can be easily, silently and genuinely be harvested for Christ’s glory. “Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained man, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus.” (Acts 4: 13) The essential thing is having our lives acquainted with Jesus. Real change that magnetizes the world around us is life in Jesus. Without any theological training they had sucked all from the Master and that’s how they lived, reflecting Christ through their daily lives, that was enough to make the community nod their heads in appreciation and agreement of the works manifesting through the lives of the very ordinary two men. Meaningful and lasting soul winning begins to take place when we have the right breed of Christians, with the right approach to the lost souls, who will live right in their communities and cause the right harvest to come at the right time. “…whether He is a sinner or not I do not know, one thing I know, that though I was blind, now I see.” (John 9: 25) This blind man was saying in other words, I don’t know anything about doctrine and theology, but I now know one thing, I am no longer the same person after I have met Jesus Christ. How does the world around you see you? Do you challenge them to be like you in any way? A soul winner’s lifestyle should always attract souls unobserved. Every hunter who professionally depends upon hunting invests all into understanding the nature and habits of the animals he is hunting. In the same way, as soul winners who want to be professionals in dealing with the souls that are lost, we should do our best to understand the lost in all. “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost. In whom the God of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” (II Corinthians 4: 3-4) The longer we are believers the less we think like unbelievers. We forget that the lost soul is blinded and cannot see and understand what one needs to do. The fact that we have been saved for sometime makes us forget how it was when we were lost. It is our duty as soul winners to take the light to the world. Remember as we witness to the lost we are gathering souls for His kingdom. Today’s Christians have a mild case of Christianity, they lack sacrificial obedience, and instead, the church is plagued with superficial loyalty. Christians however, were never meant to be idle, never meant to be dump , lips never meant to be sealed, that is why Jesus cursed the fig tree, it was idle, unproductive, barren, no fruits. He wants us to be fruitful and multiply; “Every branch in me that does not bear fruit, He takes away and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.” (John 15: 2) Only Christians whose minds can be shifted from things to souls can effectively rise up and find it profitable to win souls for Jesus Christ. A Christian who will not win a soul is an enigma, he is like a barber man who refuses to cut hair, a clerk who refuses to accept to receipt payment for services offered , like a salesman who never sells anything, yet he knows no sales, no commission. We are members of the kingdom. God has everything besides souls, when you win souls you are proving to be productive in Him, He blesses you to harvest more souls.
