About the Book
With happiness fleeing from those who once had it and becoming an elusive dream for many, it is important to provide an answer to the question, “How do I find happiness?” Even though happiness is as abstract as the air we breathe, both provide evidence that they exist. The proof of the lack of air is death and the proof of the lack of happiness is unhappiness, misery and discontentment, lack of joy and gratefulness, and being disgruntled and dissatisfied.
Happiness is obtainable when we are willing to do whatever it takes to get it. In finding happiness, we must remember that walking through this life is not all about us. It’s about who we are through the creator, finding our purpose and destiny so we can live happy, fulfilled lives, and live life in according to the plan that was designed for us, individually. It is important to find happiness not only so you can live a better life, but also because the mental status of parents and role models affect the mental stability of the children. Unhappy situations happen every day, and anyone can recall a situation of unpleasantness—death, divorce, loss of a job, demotion, etc. Even so, the question is not whether we have been unhappy, but rather whether our level of happiness over time is strong enough to bring us back to the momentum on the continuum of happiness. If you are uncertain about your happiness, A Quick Fix: Seven Steps to Happiness offers a guide to help you find your happiness!
About the Author
Bonita Glover spent more than twenty years working in the field of education teaching and mentoring children and adults in schools and university.
Dr. Glover did her Doctor of Theology studies at Next Dimension Bible College, Ontario, California and completed her thesis work on the topic "Finding Your Happiness: A Religious and Subjective Examination.” Her research included questions such as who are the happier people in the world and what factors affect happiness? An examination of happiness, both emotionally and spiritually, is addressed throughout the pages of this book.
Dr. Glover is strong in her faith and very active in her church. She maintains a close relationship with God, watching miraculous situations and experiencing unbelievable changes in her own life and in the lives of family members, friends and others. John 10:10 has been a guiding scripture for her life; the thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came so that we may have life, and have it more ABUNDANTLY.
Dr. Glover embraces every day as an opportunity to share the love of God. Challenges are opportunities to get closer and deepen her relationship with her Heavenly Father. Because of her Faith, she sees life’s challenges as tests for God’s people to build character and strength, preparation for the next test that propels us to the next level.
Dr. Glover’s contentment in life is shown through her smile, laughter and kind words to all who encounter her. She is happy, in spite of sickness, heartache or pain, financial loss, death of loved ones, or other unpleasant circumstances. She quotes, “the joy of the Lord is my strength” and she is always joyful.
Currently, she lives happily in Oceanside, California with her miniature Daschunds and a miniature Italian Greyhound. What she loves most about this area is the daily reminder of the majestic, awesomeness of God in her life and the life of others. She is constantly amazed by God’s beautiful handiwork as she looks toward the mountains and stand in awe of the ocean and the gorgeous sunsets.
