PREFACE
Many people I’ve met over the years who have heard about the miracles God has done in my life have said, “You’re a walking miracle” or “You’re a living miracle.” Some have mentioned that writing a book would be a great idea so others would know what God has done. Yet every attempt I made was always met with mixed results. There were times I would sit down and begin to write and it began to look as though I was in a doctor's office and I was writing out a medical history from the past. It wasn't until recently that the pieces finally came together.
Many may ask why did I go through so much and I too even asked the Lord this at times. Just recently, God answered some very important questions that had remained in my heart. We are like His love letters to others. We re-present Him as He works through us. He loves so much that He desires for all to know His love and to know Him and have a very personal and real relationship with Him. On this journey, I'm given the opportunity to know Him, love Him and be known and loved by Him, and to re-present Him and give the same love that He has filled me with. I'm not a special someone, no one popular or famous. We've all been given this same opportunity to know Him. This is the Good News! He restored it all, just because He loves You and because He wanted You to be with Him forever. When man sinned, he was separated from God and it would take God to make that relationship whole and complete.
We are like love letters of Jesus. When others see the things that I've gone through in my life since I was born and they hear the stories I pray that as they see they think on Him. He is so great! He is so good! May you see how He loves you and desires you to know Him and receive Him too.
His love is so great that He gave Jesus, the only begotten Son to be crucified in your place, a place that we all deserved to be. He loves us still. He desires us to be with Him still. His arms are still open wide.
This book began many years ago, about 17 to be exact. At the time, I heard the Lord tell me that I would write a book. Many of the miracles you will read about had not yet happened. Basically, it's out of obedience that I write this.
Many days I feel as though I am just beginning to know Him. It's as though my relationship with Him is just starting and my coming to know Him has just begun.
When I began asking the Lord again about writing this book, I was still asking him questions. I didn't know that there was a particular question still in my heart and I thought it had been dealt with long ago. I only knew the question was there when the Lord gave me the answer. That question was about the, "Why did I walk through this Lord." Earlier this year after listening to a message, I heard the words "Love Letters" and later as ministers began praying over our callings as believers that God has called us to, the Lord spoke to my heart very clearly, very loudly and it was, "You are my love letter." We are His love letters. We are living epistles that others read. We are to re-present Christ to others. He told me that it is because He loves me and because He loves you, all the others, and that, He began me on this journey so that you would see Him and know Him too. He loves you so much!
The others contributing in this book are my parents, sister and dear friends of mine that my husband and I have become very close to and we are richly blessed getting to share Jesus together. All these have been a part of this journey with me, have seen the Lord working, and testify of His goodness and His love. Their contributions are vital to see a further picture of what the Lord has done and give Him praise for He is more than worthy!
"May blessing (praise, laudation, and eulogy) be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) Who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual (given by the Holy Spirit) blessing in the heavenly realm!
Even as [in His love] He chose us [actually picked us out for Himself as His own] in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy (consecrated and set apart for Him) and blameless in His sight, even above reproach, before Him in love.
For He foreordained us (destined us, planned in love for us) to be adopted (revealed) as His own children through Jesus Christ, in accordance with the purpose of His will [because it pleased Him and was His kind intent]"
Ephesians 1:3-5
