The Calm in the Eye of the Storm

PREFACE

This book represents many hours of conversation and prayer time with the Father God. The times of struggle, turmoil and growth; the praises and answered prayers that occurred, as I set at His feet. The teaching times, as we sat and talked, were so full of his love. He has enlightened many dark days and darker nights with his truths. The poems truly speak forth those thoughts that come when we don’t understand the pain, the hurts both physical and mental. The spiritual understanding came forth as I sat before Him and cried out in the times of the storms. There is truly a “Calm in the Eye of the Storm” when we keep our eyes on Jesus. It has taken many years of desert times because I wanted my own way. My rebellion didn’t help me grow. I tried over and over to help God solve the problems. He has shown me that He didn’t need the help but just obedience. Life in Christ is like being born again, as a tiny baby, and growing spiritually as we do physically in the natural realm. We fall down and get up, as we learn to walk. We get stubborn and set down in one place when we don’t get our own way. We get sidetracked by the pretty things in life. We are still young and don’t have the wisdom to make the choices that will bless us. We must have a parent, a teacher to watch over us. God has given us a way to learn his truths and to make the right choices, His Holy Spirit. Even the food we eat while we are small is chosen for us. We need the food that will make us strong, to help us to grow mentally and physically. We start out on milk and the solid food comes later. God watches over us, as our parents did when we were young. He wants us to feed on his Word. It is the Bread of life. We make our lives so complicated we can’t see the joy of being a child of God, our Creator. I pray the words of this book will help and bless those that read it. May you grow in your faith in God the Father and Christ Jesus. May the Holy Spirit give you wisdom and knowledge, and the discernment you need to help you grow in the Spirit.
