Matthew 24 describes the "signs of the times," or the events that Jesus said must take place before His coming (Gr: parousia) at the end of the age. Most pretribulationalists disregard the Olivet Discourse by Jesus as having anything to do witht the rapture because they say it was a mystery, not revealed until years later by Paul (1 Cor. 15:51-53).
