Chapter Nineteen A TIME TO KEEP
So the child grew and was weaned. And Abraham made a great feast on the same day that Isaac was weaned. (Genesis 21:8)

Call all your friends, call all your family, call all your church members and please make sure you invite some enemies, you may be wondering why you’re inviting all these people well let me tell you. Today is the day that you make a great feast for yourself and the reason for the feast is because this is the day that you have weaned yourself off of feeling bad about who you are, this is the day that you weaned yourself off of the woe it’s me days, this is the day that you weaned yourself off of the I look ugly days, this is the day that you weaned yourself off of the couch watching television. This is the day that you finally leave the foot of that mountain. See just like a child has to grow and be weaned off of things he is accustom to from his mother before he can move on, that’s the same thing you will have to do, it’s time for you to grow and move on to what God has for you, in times past you may have praised your way through some situations and you thought that it will work in every situation but that’s not the case, you have to understand that it’s nothing wrong with praising to get through things but it come a time in our life when what we used to do won’t work and that’s because God want us to be weaned off of one thing to get us to go to the next level, maybe you never prayed before or maybe you never really studied the word of God, whatever the case maybe don’t fall in love with methods because it will come a time where you will have to be weaned off of them before you can take that next step with God. Remember God said this kind only comes out by prayer and fasting (Matthew 17:21) notice He never said nothing about praising so you have to be weaned of the old and move ahead to something different. “A TIME TO KEEP” is for your development before you can go ahead, a lot of leaders hold on to people when they are rushing to be who God said they will be and to that I say keep them as long as God tells you and then let them go. If you study (Genesis 21:8) you see that Abraham made a great feast, mainly because the child was weaned and that’s what “A TIME TO KEEP” is for to get you ready, a lot of times we get so comfortable in one situation that we won’t want to move from the foot of our mountain, the bible says the Lord is your keeper (Psalms 121:5) that means He will keep you in the situation you are in as long as He think you need to be there but the problems we are having is that the Lord called us to the mountain but we don’t want to move. The children of Israel were about to discover who they really were. They were about to receive their individual identity in a powerful way. Therefore, God told Moses to sanctify the people and bring them to the mountain and that’s where He gave them instructions, so that they would know what to do (Exodus 19:3-20). It was “A TIME TO KEEP” but in the book of (Deuteronomy) we read that the Lord our God spoke to us in Horeb, saying: you have dwelt long enough at this mountain. (Deuteronomy 1:6). Meaning that I kept you long enough to give you what you needed now it’s time for you to move your “TIME OF KEEPING” is over. See, I have set the land before you, go in and possess the land which the Lord swore to your fathers (Deuteronomy 1:8). God set before you a promised land and you have to go possess it. Today, the Holy Spirit sets promised lands before the eyes of His people in the New Testament. This Promised Land may represent realizing what Christ has promised you; it could represent healed relationships or a vision for the future. God did not stop giving His people the promised land in the O.T. God gives His people promised land today the Holy Spirit will give us a vision for what is possible for our lives, homes, churches. However, we need to respond to the vision of the Promised Land with faith and obedience. The Holy Spirit may show you what He wants to do with your life, and He may give you a vision for ministry. The key is to believe God and take the spiritual steps necessary to possess the land. Just think at the time I wrote this book I wasn’t a pastor, bishop, preacher or none of that as a matter of fact at the time I wrote this I was the janitor at my church but the Holy spirit told me to go possess my land. But all that I wrote was received from God when it was “A TIME TO KEEP” then the Lord had to wean me from sitting at the foot of the mountain with Him so I could go and posses my land.
