CHAPTER #13 The Beast from the Sea: THE ANTICHRIST AND THE FALSE PROPHET 1. And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. • Out of the sea rises a beast with seven heads and ten horns. • Coming out of the sea means that it does not come out of Israel. • This beast symbolizes two things: the Roman empire reconstructed, and the person who will lead it. • The seven heads will be seven models of government with power all fused as one; and dominating during the tribulation. ie: Babylon with Nimrod, Egypt with the pharaoh, Babylon with Nebuchadnezzar, Medes and Persia with Darius, Greece with Alexander the Great, Rome with the Cesars, and restored Rome with the antichrist. • The ten horns with its crowns, signify the powers that will catapult the antichrist and will put everything to his feet voluntarily. • The blasphemous names on the heads could be of those governments that were most outstanding in those empires; those who thought they were Gods or demanded to be worshiped. 2. And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. • This beast is exactly the same one that the prophet Daniel saw in chapter 7:7, and in Revelation 17:3 it appears again. • The description of his body confirms the physical and violent power in which he will rule. • The dragon is Satan as a superior malign spirit. He will try to imitate God to deceive the nations, and will give his throne and power to his spiritual son, the visible beast. This is just as God did with Jesus. (Matthew 28:18) • The dragon imitates God the father. The beast imitates Jesus the son. The false prophet imitates the Holy Spirit. • For those who don’t believe in the holy trinity this a good example; if satan imitates it, it is because the holy trinity is real. 3. And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. • The beast (the son) is assassinated and probably resurrected by he false prophet after three days, just as was done by the power of the Holy Spirit with Jesus. (This could be a false miracle.) • Therefore, the whole world will be amazed with their new “messiah”. 4. And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? • Just as we worship our God Father, God Son, and God Holy Spirit, people will also worship their new trinity. • They will be astonished that they feel so fascinated and submitted. They will say, “We are here to obey your commands”. 5. And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. • The beast will be able to captivate his followers even when using dirty and blasphemous words. • He will exercise his destructive power for 42 months (3½ years). • All of this is with the permissive will of God in order to whip the wicked of this world. 6. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. • He will gain more fame for his blasphemies against God and His commandments. His admirers will say, “He is so brave”. • This is somewhat good because regardless of what he says, he is acknowledging there is a superior God above. 7. And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. • The price that the new converts pay will be death since they did not ascended to heaven in the first trip (rapture). Surely they will give testimony of Jesus, but they will be saved. • The beast will dominate the whole world. • His speeches will be translated simultaneously to all languages via satellite. 8. And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. • The lost shall worship this spiritual son of Satan, whose names have been erased from the book of life written by God before He created man, and He knows how many will be born. • This is God’s book that shows the names of all human beings born from all nations. • Why were they erased? …because these who are worshiping the beast allowed themselves to to be branded with the new system in their hands or foreheads. • The technology of computer science shall be a great tool served at the feet of the beast to be used to quickly extend his dominance. There will be a bar code to consolidate the control upon mankind using a scannable micro “chip”. Curiously, it is said that double bars on the sides and center of a code represent the number 666. NOTE: Today, we do not have to worry about this because it will not be implemented until the Lord comes for His church and the antichrist appears. It is probable that in his first three and a half years of tribulation, during his period of peace between men, this leader will suggest and exhort people to voluntarily enroll and belong to the new global uniform system. He will convince people that this is for the development and security of planet earth, and in this way avoid another purification like the previous rapture; because many argue that from time to time the world gets rid of useless things. 9. If any man have an ear, let him hear. We are exhorted to be alert. 10. He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. • The law of talion will become fashionable (eye for eye and tooth for tooth). • The converts shall be careful not to be accused of any crime while they’re being pursued. They should die for Christ. NOTE: 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12 • After the rapture, the apostate “christians”, will stay and see the appearance of the man of sin (the beast). • The beast will sit at the altar of the new temple of the jews as if he was God. • He will reveal himself when the body of Christ (the church) has been removed. • He will work false wonders and miracles and shall deceive all those who rejected Jesus Christ. They shall be condemned. 11. And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. A second beast appears. • It is the false prophet imitating the Holy Spirit. • “Coming up out of the earth”, suggests that he could be from Israel; perhaps a rabbi with authority that, influenced by satan, will facilitate the relationship between the antichrist and Israel, and maybe will say that this is the messiah they had been waiting for. • His two horns symbolize that he is religious. • Even though the long garments suggest piousness, the words coming from his mouth are poison that contradict his good intentions. 12. And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. • This beast has the same power as the first one. • His job is to make mankind worship the antichrist just as the Holy Spirit teaches us to worship Jesus. • This beast will remind the world of the resurrection of the man of sin; similarly, as we remember Christ in holy communion and how He paid for our sins and through His resurrection we believe and are full of faith.
