I am Faith. I am 8 years old and I am in the Third Grade. I have two best friends. They are twin sisters and their names are Grace and Mercy. You never see Grace without Mercy or Mercy without Grace. We have been friends since Pre-K. They live on my street in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and we do everything together or maybe I should say we used to do everything together before I moved to Atlanta.
I miss Grace and Mercy so much, especially since they used to follow me everywhere I went. But now things will be different because I have to make new friends and that scares me. My mom tells me not to worry because God did not give us a spirit of fear but of love, peace, and a sound mind. It’s going to be hard because Grace and Mercy were always so nice to me. What if no one likes me on my new street or at my new school?

About the Book
“I AM FAITH” takes you on a journey of a girl named Faith who is faced with dealing with change as her parents have decided to move to Atlanta, GA. Faith is really concerned about leaving behind her house, friends, and school. However, throughout the story, Faith learns the real meaning of her name and that moving out of the old and into the new was a good thing!
About the Author
LaCretia Lewis is a devoted wife, mother, educator, and member of Word of Faith Family Worship Cathedral, under the leadership of Bishop Dale C. Bronner located in Austell, GA. She was born and raised in Harrisburg, PA. After graduating from Harrisburg High School, she attended Delaware State University where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in Primary Education. LaCretia then moved to Atlanta, GA upon graduating in 2002 and secured her first teaching position at Riverside Elementary School where she served as the Instructional Coach at Riverside Primary School. In 2007, LaCretia earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Kennesaw State University. After graduating from KSU, she went on to earn a Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Nova Southeastern University. In December 2016, LaCretia completed a doctoral degree from Nova in Instructional Leadership. LaCretia is currently enjoying her leadership role as an administrator in the Metro Atlanta area. LaCretia’s passion for teaching and children began at an early age and continues on today. LaCretia’s desire is to sow seeds of faith to edify the hearts and souls of children and adults as well as teach the word of God through biblically principled story books.
