About the Book

‘Lord, Teach Us to Pray’ provides a concise and easy to follow step-by-step program for developing a scripturally-based prayer life. It will be useful for individuals, for small groups, for home group Bible study, or for a church-wide emphasis on prayer. It can be a devotional guide or a tool for small group Bible study. It is a conservative, biblically-based approach to prayer and offers a valid alternative in the areas of meditation and prayer to the current mystical trends prevalent in some churches.

About the Author

Rev. Mahon is the founding director of Grace Community International (www.gciweb.org). He has spoken on the disciplines of prayer and the personal devotional life in over 27 countries. He has an education degree from the University of Texas and a Master’s Degree from Moody Bible Graduate School. He has served as a college director for the Navigators as well as on their National Mission Team. He has, in addition, served in several pastoral positions. He is currently the visiting Professor of Pastoral Theology at the Reformed Seminary in St. Petersburg, Russia. He ministers extensively with Reformed Baptist, Reformed Presbyterian, The Navigators, and Campus Crusade for Christ, as well as a number of other conservative evangelical churches, graduate schools, and organizations. As of this printing, he has been married 39 years and has four children and nine grandchildren. All of his children have strong Christian testimonies, are active in local churches, and were brought up having a daily quiet time alone with God.
