Doctors are in their ear, telling them what they know in their hearts can’t be true. The doctors are saying they’ve done all they can for Junior. He’s not going to make it. 

Was it for the best? Dying is never the answer. Jackson knew that. He lost his wife, Janice. He would have done anything to get her back. There has got to be an answer for Junior. A healing answer. 

This wasn’t how Junior’s life would end. Not a chance. Not in a hospital room. With tubes and wires keeping him alive. The longer he thought about it, the easier the answer became. Janice would super naturally intervene.      

When Terri returned to the hospital to pray for him, she thought Junior was gone. His room where she left him was now empty and cleared out. She wept terribly.  

“Down here, Terri!” Jackson yelled from down the emergency room hallway. 

“Junior’s down here.”

Jackson’s pastor, campus police and more than a dozen more were in the waiting room when Terri arrived. To this day, she doesn’t know how word spread so quickly about June.

“This kid must be special,” the doctor remarked.

As they continued to revive Junior by cooling down his body temperature, Terri prayed over him for so long, time was only a blur.

Lord, please bring him back! Don’t take him away! He’s not ready to go! 

She was standing over him, holding his hand, when Junior’s eyes flinched out from under the haze of unconsciousness. What was that? Then his eyes blinked. Can that be an accident?

That’s just a reflex, the doctor told Terri. 

No, doctor! Junior looked right at me! He’s awake!

His eyes blinked once more. 

“Nurse?” the doctor called out. “This young man is waking up!”
