"I have written something I want you to read.", said Jared.
I look up at him, thinking he has it with him. Seeing my questioning look, he responds,
"Not here. I have it at home at the rectory."
Confused, I say,
"Oh"
and still not being sure what he wants, I ask,
"Did you want Jackie and me to stop by to read it?"
Quickly he answers,
"No,no, only you."
Gazing at his face, I feel those instincts again and am overwhelmed with confusion.

WE HAVE THE CHANCE TO REREAD, RETHINK, REFLECT ON THE WORD AND HOW IT IMPACTS OUR LIFE. ONCE WRITTEN, HOWEVER, WE ARE COMMITTED. THOSE READING CAN CHOOSE TO BELIEVE OR NOT, CHOOSE TO IGNORE OR TAKE TO HEART......OUR GOD COMMUNICATES WITH US NOT ONLY THROUGH HIS PRESENCE BUT THROUGH THE WRITTEN WORD. HIS RULES WRITTEN IN STONE WITH MOSES BECAME OUR MORALITY. HIS PROPHETS, APOSTLES AND SAINTS STORIES WERE CAPTURED FOR US TO REMEMBER AND TO USE TO GUIDE OUR LIVES; BUT FREE WILL ALLOWS US TO BELIEVE IT OR NOT, TO IGNORE OR TO TAKE TO HEART.
MY GOD, HOW LONG HAS IT TAKEN ME TO TRULY UNDERSTAND YOUR WORD, YOUR LIVING WORD OF JESUS CHRIST? YOU HAVE GIVEN ME SO MANY OPPORTUNITIES AND GRACES IN LIFE TO REFLECT AND COME TO REVELATION IN YOUR WORD.

About the Book
Whom and how we love is an important decision in our lives. Choices we make in love will be choices that affect us for a lifetime. Our love should reflect the personal commitment we have for the other, knowing that this love is a reflection of God’s love for us. The puzzle of life is to find the path that can fill our hearts with love, not only for another person, but for God.
Lily and Jared find that choosing to love each other is easy but searching for the path to God’s love is a challenge. They need to determine the right decisions to maneuver through their human frailties to embrace God’s love. Each will need to use what they experienced in the past to make the proper choice for a joyful and hope-filled future.
About the Author
Most of my adult life has been spent working and speaking to teenagers about education and personal issues. I have found myself often using stories from my past or ones that I have heard to emphasize a point. Turning to the printed page seemed a natural process especially when you feel moved by the Spirit to share a story of God's love.
The solace of His love has brought healing in my life on several occasions, especially overcoming grief in the loss of a loved one. This story is about feeling God's presence today, recognizing his presence in your past, and using this to give you hope for a future.
I am proud to say that I was born and raised in Texas and make my home in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. I find inspiration in songs of my faith and am moved when I hear or read of courageous acts by others. These things are my motivation to continue to improve and strive to follow the path that God lays out for me each and every day. My family and friends are my encouragers, my loves, and my hope for my future.
Besides being a wife and a proud mother of two wonderful daughters, I have served as a high school teacher and a youth minister. I enjoy volunteering with social service agencies that are making an impact on people's lives. I find relaxation in listening to music and reading. Sporting events bring me great pleasure, especially baseball, football and soccer. My dogs are a particular source of joy and happiness. And, finally, finding daily time to thank God for all the blessings in this life is my ultimate expression of happiness.
