We search for peace, love, comfort, safety, security and for most of us, we are not successful in that quest. We continue to ask what would it take to really believe and thrive in the new reality and truth of our divinity, our power, our creative ability. How do we reach beyond the normal boundaries towards fulfillment and greatness?
With all the information available to us about getting what we want, attracting what we want, wanting what we want, yet much is missing as current research is showing that the majority of people are still not thriving, most of whom are women. We find that we are neither fulfilled with life nor excited about our future.
In my own search for these seemingly elusive answers, I believe I have found part of the answer in the truth that we can tap into infinite, universal perfected realities that have been around with us forever, but hidden. We surely do need a new understanding of how life works and how we make it work for our well being, abundance, joy and life.
We are now at the beginning of an era, as one way closes another most magnificent life is awaiting us. We are going to have to surely rid ourselves of limiting beliefs that have not served our highest purpose and life. We are going to have to unlearn many things and learn, know and understand some new things. It is going to take all that you have, all that you are, all that you hope to be, to come to this unbelievable place of power – real power, power from the inside that will in fact make the difference in your life, the life of your family, the life of your world on the outside. We are going to have to be transformed by the renewal of our minds and the cleansing of our hearts.
In this search, I have been given an extraordinary gift to find an amazing insight that may seem a bit too hard, but the truth is that the way to this deepest understanding and purposeful life is the way of the dust, the way of bankruptcy, not so much of material things, (although for some of us that is a reality too) but bankruptcy of our own lessor thoughts, our own natural mind, and our own earth bound way.
You don’t know how, you say, to come to the end of yourself, neither did I until I met this very interesting woman, one of our beloved ancestors I am told. Her story is told in an ancient manuscript (which you will find at the end of this little book or on the book that is hopefully on your nightstand). Her encounter with destiny and the final recognition of her own divine power were captured by three watchful scribes almost 2000 years ago. So devoid of life and so bankrupt at the time, this magnificent woman did not even have a name. In the recounting of the story she is referred to as “a certain woman”; imagine a woman in that era, actually in any era, but that one in particular with its traditions and cultural norms, without a name, or connection to family or heritage. Many of us are actually nameless, we have found ourselves without any connection to a family, to a culture, to a land, to a tradition. We are actually nameless women, forgotten women and we are in deep pain because of it.
From all indications, this certain woman had clearly, at some point, been a woman of means, yet a life circumstance takes her from being a somebody to becoming a no-body. A woman who once had a family, home, and means and then it is all lost, as she finds herself with nothing, not even an identity, not even a name.
I believe that the life of this certain woman has left us an incredible legacy for our growth and understanding, to assist us in our purpose and destiny, our future and our hopes. For far too many of us we have become nameless statistics, certain women without a hope or a way out of the pain and the destitution.
A woman, who spent all she had, gave all she had, lost all she had as she searched under life’s seemingly harsh circumstances for her life. A woman who went from someone to no one. A woman who found herself in a desperate circumstance, in despair, with little or no hope at all. She is alone, has no one to help her, utterly at the end of herself, and finds herself at the end of her rope, the end of her own way.
For many of us women, we have often felt just like this woman, in fact for many of us we have found that we were very much alone, at the end of everything, without a way out, desperate, not knowing where to turn or what to do. Through this woman, this heroic woman, we will find our triumph in the triumph of her life; we will find our meaning in her discovery of the meaning in her life, we find our hope in the hope in her life. We find, as we must, that this certain woman finds it all – life, hope, purpose, destiny – only when she loses it all and learns fully the benefits of a bankrupt life.
Through her excruciating ordeal she learned the alchemy of life, and through the ages she has passed these unfailing lessons onto us, her daughters and friends, and we are grateful. This certain woman, she could be you or I today found it all, when she understood what was required of her, and she regained all she had lost and more, when she learned the benefits of a bankrupt life. The ordeal teaches and informs us that all she or we ever need is already inside us, Our Creator ordained it to be so, we need merely to be still and know.
I hope you will join me as we take a moment to find ourselves present with her and listen as her life unfolds before us allowing it to inform our own; remember hearing is one of our five senses, but listening is an art, and so let’s listen well as a certain woman tells us her story and in that we will find ours.
