In God’s Word, the Bible in Psalms, scripture says, to make a joyful noise. Here is one example of my attempt to make a joyful noise.
Mighty to Deliver:
Verse: Gracious and merciful is Jehovah our God,
mighty in power to deliver,
His loving kindness it does surround,
hiding us in the shadow of His wings.
Hiding us in the shadow of His wings.
verse: Holy and righteous is Jehovah our God,
mighty in power to deliver,
Abba Father, creator of all,
the one and only true living God.
The one and only true and living God.
chorus: Yes, He is mighty to deliver:
making ways where there are no ways,
Yes He is mighty to deliver,
and I will praise Him all of my days.
And I will praise Him all of my days.
verse: Gracious and wonderful is Jehovah our God,
mighty in power to deliver,
He is speaking with a still small voice,
slow to anger in kindness and in truth.
Slow to anger in kindness and in truth.
chorus:
Bridge: He is perfect in all His ways,
God of the heavens,
holding us in the palm of His hand,
the God of the universe.
God of the universe,
God of the universe.
God of the universe.
About the Author
Sheryl (Sherry) Norton was born in October of 1957, the first of three children. At the time of her birth, her parents, were living in Topeka, Kansas assigned to Forbes Air Force Base. She grew up in various places, finally landing in Fayetteville, North Carolina where she now lives. “I really count myself as very Blessed after all I have been through.” She is a three times survivor of a form of cancer. She is a widow after 33 years of marriage. She has been visually impaired all her life, “for a long time I was blind not only physically, but spiritually.” After being a member of a cult for 23 years, Sherry says only the Love and intervention of Her Heavenly Father brought her out of deception and darkness and trying to live under the law with little love or hope although there was much fear and mans control. The sight I have now in my God I would not trade, though there are times when I wish I could physically see, I have to admit there are other times I am glad that I do not.
