O Jerusalem!
From afar and atop, there Thou dost sit
Pondering thine entry, triumphant with glee,
Approaching the entryway by donkey kingly fit,
Sporting future promise of things to be.
Enrobed in garish garments humble and meek,
A Nazarene befitting to praise by holy name,
Faithful followers of thine kingdom to seek,
Deliverance of souls accursed by unholy blame.
As a man wast thou born into this world
Adorned with blesséd light for darkness to fade,
To free from sin and the sinister, evil hold
That plagues the heart and mind of all God made.
O Jerusalem! Thou awaitest Christ through the gate;
Restore our love, our faith, our heavenly fate.

My Strength and My Defense reveals the author’s thoughts and experiences on God and life, based on real-life events that helped shape his thinking and view of the world and religion. The writings draw on biblical teachings and classical literature for reference, based on the inspiration of the Paraclete.
In the work, the author endeavors to present to the reader insightful, intelligent perspectives on issues such as death, sin, faith, and reliance on God for our daily needs—things that affect our daily lives.
The book is intended to offer a sense of hope to the hopeless that through belief and faith in God and a choice to give your life to Jesus, life can get better.
About the Author
Ignacio Haro is an avid reader of biblical and classical literature. He believes a synthesis of theology and philosophy serves a practical purpose in drawing a person closer to truth and to God. He currently attends Azusa Pacific Seminary, where he is working on a master’s degree in theological studies.
