Our unity with God begins when we make Jesus the Lord of our lives. We live connected to God when we receive the Holy Spirit. The Amplified Bible describes the Holy Spirit as our Comforter, Helper, Strengthener, Teacher, Counselor, Intercessor, Advocate, and Standby (John 14:16). He is given to us when we give our lives to Christ and are born again. He then reveals to us the truths of God.
God meets our every need through the Holy Spirit. When we need strength, He enables us to do what we cannot do alone. If we need wisdom on how to navigate a situation, He counsels us for success. When the weight of sorrow crushes us and we are unable to form words in our thoughts or with our mouths, the Holy Spirit will intercede on our behalf before God. He will provide all the help and comfort we need to go through every mishap and unexpected turn of events.

About the Author
Growing up in a home of emotional instability had me searching in all the wrong places to ease the pain of my lonely heart. By the age of sixteen I had given up all hope. I was convinced that I would never be loved and never be happy. After several suicide attempts, God met me in my bedroom one night and told me that the answers to all of my problems and issues were in the Bible. That encounter over thirty years ago continues to inspire hope both in me and the women I mentor.
My life experiences have made me an expert of what not to do. For over ten years I have taught people how to grow beyond their past so that they can fulfill the call of God in their lives. God’s promises are for whosoever will believe, and I don’t want anyone to miss out on the extravagant richness of living with Jesus Christ.
I am a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ and a nurse in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with the best husband in the world. We have four grown children and four grandchildren.
