The Prodigal That Didn't Come Home

It is in silence that the voice of God can be heard the loudest and the melody of His music frees the soul that has been captured by the pangs of loneliness and despair. It is not an easy thing to attain but it can be done. The soul is trapped within the framework of the human body and is confined to the limitations that have been placed on it through the sin of Adam and the ongoing influences of this world. The interference that occurs during the course of any given day prevents us from seeing the depths of God’s desire to strengthen our relationship with Him. There is a cadence of heart that produces a rhythm that can only be heard in the midst of tragedy. I don’t believe that God manufactures it but I do believe that He takes advantage of it because we tend not to do it voluntarily. It is in the location where there are no props or outside stimuli to confuse the issue but only the solitude of a life that is longing for the relief that only God can bring. It is where genuine music is manufactured. Not the type that may find itself in the quarters of entertainment but of the sort that penetrates the level where the soul resides. This cannot be found in the midst of wellbeing but rather in the realm of inadequacy. It is not the companion of confidence but of uncertainty. It is where heart and soul meet and the intellect is left to fend for itself.
