SPAWNING
"Why Jesus?" you ask; "why is He different?"
In discussions concerning religion, that
question is asked a lot and rarely answered
to the satisfaction of the one asking.
The answer can be discovered in self.
The world we live in and the doctrine it
propagates is in essence selfish.
Jesus, in all He was and is, is selfless.
The bible says, unless a corn of wheat
goes into the ground and dies, it remains
by itself alone, yet in its death it is multiplied.
Jesus came to earth to die.
Millions of women and men speak of their
right to choose and millions of babies die.
The mother salmon sacrifices her own life
in order to spawn generations of her kind.
Spawning involves going against the current
and following an inborn purpose, that's what
Jesus did and that's what His people are supposed to do.
That is simply, "Dying to self" and trusting God for life.
Until you are armed with that purpose,
given you by God's spirit, you will be selfish.
Selflessness becomes more evident as people
continue on the same path Jesus walked.
As near as I can tell, everyone else promotes religion.
Jesus is not about religion, He is about people.
He died so that many would experience eternal life.
As we die to self, others experience the aroma of that life.
