One day my father was hit in the eye by a rock propelled from a lawn mower as he watched his god-son tend to the lawn. The force of the rock cause great injury to his eye and blood was everywhere. His minister urged him to go to the hospital and get it checked out. When he went to the hospital, they kept there for a day or so, but they couldn’t tell at that point whether the eye had been put out or not. So they bandaged the eye and told him to go home and return in a week to ten days. The Lord told me to call my father the morning before he went back to see the doctor and tell him that he would see out of that eye again. At the doctor's office, the bandages were removed and his eye was examined. The doctor told him that he had bad news, his eye had been put out. My father showed no emotions to the bad report and wasn’t discouraged by what the doctor had said. He was believing God, and he believed the message God gave me to give to him; 'that he would see again'. He believed what Exodus 15:26c says … “For I am the Lord that healeth thee….”. Upon leaving the doctor’s office, my mother lead him down to the street level where he noticed something on the ground and called attention to it. It was with that statement my mother realize he could see out of the damaged eye. There are times when we need someone to help boost our faith and I thank God that I was there to boost my father’s faith. His sight had been restored by the miracle working power of the Living God and the sight in his damaged eye was better than in the other. All praises go to God for restoring his sight.

About the Author
Dr. Loraine M. Jones was born and grew up on a farm in Tennessee. She was the second oldest of five children. Her parents were poor and unable to provide her a college education. She left her parent’s home upon graduating from high school in pursuit of her dreams for higher education. Dr. Jones was married and became the mother of six children, grandmother of sixteen, and great-grandmother of three. She became a secretary and worked in the field of education for twenty-five years. She attended several colleges. She has been actively involved in church ministry for more than fifty years. Dr. Jones has taught the Bible to all age groups and is a licensed evangelist in the Pentecostal church. She has earned a doctoral of divinity degree. Her last hurdle to conquer is to be a hospital chaplain/counselor, where she can help, encourage, and minister to the hurting, instructing them how to trust Christ for their complete deliverance.
