My friend Jesus is funny!
He made elephants!
*What a mighty tool God gave elephants when he created their trunk. Elephants use their trunk to breathe, smell, touch, grasp, and make sound. Their trunk is so amazingly strong that it can lift up to 770 pounds! That means an elephant could lift up your mom, dad, grandpa, grandma, and you all at once as if you were a bag of potatoes! Did you also know elephants are fantastic swimmers? God thought it would be extra silly to make their trunk like a snorkel when swimming in deeper water! What is the funniest face you can make? The amazing thing is that Jesus has invited us along in this journey called "life" to discover Him in creation!

About the Author
Kala Davis grew up in a small farm town in Sidell, Illinois. The beauty of God's creation was evident to her as she played outside in cornfields and creeks—exploring in the woods and being amazed at the big open sky. Her parents taught all their children about Jesus through these experiences with creation.
Kala now lives in a small town outside of Cincinnati, Ohio. She and her husband love teaching their three kids about Jesus's personality as they spend lots of time outside playing, discovering, exploring, and visiting those same cornfields!
Kala is also a first grade teacher at a wonderful public elementary school in New Richmond, Ohio. She has loved writing ever since she was a small girl, putting down memories on paper that she wanted to remember forever.
