In our present day, there seems an increase of fear in what tomorrow holds. It is appearing not just in the older generation but in all ages and genders. The world is in chaos, (confusion). There is in the headlines words that put fright in even the more level headed among us. Heads of Nations are threatened and removed. (often with great violence and death.) Jesus speaks clearly about this and other things to come in Mathew 24:7-8-NIV, "Nation will rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom, There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pangs." He goes on with words like persecuted, hated, turning away from one's faith, false prophets, deceiving many, and ends with this warning, "Because of the increase of wickedness the love of most will grow cold." Mathew 24:12-NIV.
Many of these things are draining people of their energy as they look to the world system for answers. What will they do? How will they fix their problems? It might be well for them to look to the only One who knows the future of our world. During these times of uncertainty Isaiah 40:31-NIV. tells us, "Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint!"

Leonia M. Durham was born in New York and is a first-generation American. She has lived in numerous parts of the country. She received her formal education in California and has traveled for Christian service and as an inspirational speaker to many states. Her writings have been prolific.
