The following story helped launch this book because of the deep awareness of knowing that although the stakes were high, I had prayed in the very thing I was experiencing. The cry of my heart was to know God intimately. Yet, I knew I had to let go of certain mindsets and physical limitations in order to allow God in all the way. A common prayer that I continually prayed at that point in my walk with Christ was: "Whatever it takes Father, take it away." This ended up manifesting as a result of an unusual adventure that began New Year's 2012, concluding in January, 2013: a trial I am pleased to share with you now. Because when it seemed like nothing more could go wrong, there was still an assurance in my spirit that everything was going to be okay. By going through this trial, I learned that when we're overwhelmed by our circumstances, we must find out what Christ is doing in the midst of the storm. We can gripe about the storm, rebuke until our "rebuker" is broken, or find Jesus asleep at the back of the boat, and know deep down that by being with Him-the storm has already been rebuked.

We have all asked and prayed for things that are far beyond what we can fathom actually happening, and God loves to answer in a fashion that doesn’t always fit our paradigm. About the Author
Confronted By Destiny is all about facing off with what opposes one from living in the fullness of God's blessing. After many trials, the testimony of overcoming has been engrained within my DNA. As one reads through this book, the goal is to assist others to partner with Holy Spirit to cross over completely into God's perfect will by confronting fears along the way. I have personally seen a past girlfriend pass away tragically, a cat that I loved like a child pass away out of nowhere, a business I started from scratch taken out from underneath me, a ton of friendships, and almost everything that I've ever known vanish in the blink of an eye through pursuing all that God has for me. Sometimes it takes drastic events to catch people's attention, but hopefully this book will awaken people before they have to lose everything before completely following Christ.
