Through The Eyes of the Watchman

At this point things began to take on a much different feeling. The road, buildings, and even the crowd became less and less important. As the man in white approached me all other things around me and even in me began to take a back seat and I knew without a shadow of a doubt that this was my Lord. He walked up closer to me until he stood directly in front of me. He was not tall, maybe five six or less and his robe was of the purest white. It had no spots or blemishes on it. It appeared to be very clean, a clean that was beyond white. It did not appear to be bulky or restraining in any manner, it looked like it was made just for him. On his feet he was wearing light brown sandals. If you ask me what his feet looked like I could not tell you, because at this point he was close enough for me to look directly in his eyes. Once I saw his face, I did not ever want to look away. His skin color was olive brown or maybe a little darker, like he had been outside for his entire life. Not a dark brown or a golden brown, just a darker olive brown. Though he looked like he had been raised in the sun, his skin showed no signs of wrinkles or premature aging. He looked to be in his thirties and had a close cut beard. The beard was not right against his face; however it was not grown out either. It was somewhere in the middle. His hair was shoulder length with waves or perhaps a slightly curly look, not straight. The color of his hair was interesting; it was a darker brownish color that seemed to have a lighter brown mixed in. It was very beautiful and hard for me to describe. I remember looking directly into his face thinking that the pictures I had seen all my life were wrong. His features were plain for the most part, like he could blend in with the average man. His nose was not pointy like many Europeans; it was larger, rounder and had a slight ridge on top, not huge, just different than I have seen in pictures. He looked at me and smiled a smile that was so warm and caring that I knew no harm would ever come to me as long as I stayed in His presence. As I looked into his eyes I knew what eternity was. If love has a color it would be the blue of our Savior’s eyes. The depth of gentleness, love and kindness in his eyes are so deep that one could be lost in his gaze forever. He moved very close to me taking my head in his hands. He gently kissed my forehead, smiled at me and said, “The kiss of Jesus is in your forehead”. Then I was back.
