This book idea came to me as an inspiration from Isaiah 6:9: “Go and tell this people.” I believe I am to go and tell the story of God’s love to the people He cares so much about, resourcing the Word of Truth, the Holy Bible. I am privileged by His grace to give my humble narratives. This book is organized in three sections in the essay format: the beginning (introduction), the body (salvation), and the end (life as a believer). In the beginning the covenant-keeping God—Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end—planned, in His infinite wisdom, to send Jesus Christ, His Word, to man. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shone in darkness, but the darkness comprehended it not (John 1:1–5). The prophet Isaiah spoke of God’s redemption plan for Israel and mankind in Isaiah 7:13–14: “Hear ye now, O house of David; is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God also? Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call His name Immanuel [God with us].”
The Lord Almighty loves people so much that He lavishes love on us even when we do not deserve it. That is God’s grace, and His mercy and compassion never fail. The Almighty, the all-wise and all-patient Father, could have chosen to wipe out humanity right at the beginning. Genesis 2:17 says, “But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it; for in the day that thou
eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.” But the disobedience of Adam and Eve led to the action in Genesis 3:6: “And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.”
The great love of God in Christ Jesus is seen in the creation of the household of God. The apostle Paul said in Ephesians 2:11–12, “Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the World.” By His blood on the cross, Christ took away God’s wrath, for the punishment for sin is death. He reconciled us with God and put right our relationship with God (Ephesians 2:16). Through Christ we have access by one Spirit to the Father. “Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God” (Ephesians 2:19). John 1:12 also speaks of God giving the right of family-hood
to believers in Jesus’s gift: “ But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even that believe on His name.” In the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 6:33), Jesus said, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Jesus was talking about finding eternal life with God first. After that, God will take care of our daily needs, ambitions, worries, imaginations, expectations, and so on. Our God is able to provide, protect, keep His promises in our lives, and make the impossible possible for the believer. For God is the Creator of heaven and earth, all that is in the earth belongs to Him.
“ For the pillars of the Earth are the Lord’s, and He hath set the World upon them” (1 Samuel 2:8b). This belief led Hannah to act in faith, and she went to the temple to ask God for a baby. Her prayer answered, she gave birth to Samuel and six more children. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1). Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrew 12:2). He came to bring all people who have lost their way because of sin back to the holy God, who is love. Amen. “For God so loved the World, that He sent His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). Psalm 33:12 assures us, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for His own inheritance.” A people or nation that puts God first finds favor with God and with men. Such a nation has God’s special protection, providence, and peace. Children of God have the grace of God’s salvation, and those who obey His voice will enter into the Holy City, which will descend out of heaven from God. To God be the glory. The only gift that really matters is God’s indescribable gift, which keeps on giving. “Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable gift” (2 Corinthians 9:15)
