Forever Man

Instinctively I knew Him, but I could not recall a place and time where I could have met Him. Then I was standing before Him and I looked upon His countenance. I realized that the light rays, I saw earlier, were emanating from Him. His light shown through me exposing all that I was. For a moment the fear and shame returned, but then like one who wipes away the dirt from a dish, the fear and shame were wiped clean from my being.

He spoke to me “I have a task for you to perform. You will be My witness to men until I return. You will be a guardian and exhorter of My Words. Do not be afraid for no weapon formed will harm you. The curse of time will not apply to you. Satan and his minions will have no power to deceive you, for you will see them as they are. Above all remember the battle is not yours, but God’s for He sits upon His throne in power watching all things unfold.”

As He finished speaking, He reached out His hand and touched me. Instantly His Words filled me and I felt a change occurring within me, my mind was renewed, and my heart was strengthened. His voice was full of peace, joy and love and I could not resist Him.

I stood there in His presence, when a question entered my mind “Master, what of all the evil that is in the world, even now Satan comes with his army to wage war and destroy men. What can I do?”

“In your own strength, you can do nothing. As for Satan, he is a vanquished foe as He said:

‘I saw Satan fall like lightning from Heaven.’ Luke 10:18 (NIV)

Then He added:

‘How art thou fallen from Heaven

O Lucifer son of the morning!

How art thou cut down to the earth

which didst weaken the nations!

For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into Heaven

I will exalt my throne above the stars of God

I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation Isaiah 14:12-15 (KJV)

on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain

I will ascend above the tops of the clouds

I will make myself like the Most High,

but you are brought down to the grave

to the depths of the pit’.”

“That is where I found you, at the edge of the pit. When I return I will lock away Satan and those who follow and believe in his lies in the bottomless pit. I can do so for I hold the keys to the gates of the pit. You need to remember, and tell men, that my reach is not short and I have the power to save them. I have the power to snatch them away from Satan’s grasp even when they are at the brink and stand ready to enter the Gates of Hell itself. Those who enter in will do so by their own choosing.”

The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise,

as some understand slowness.

He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish,

but everyone to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 (NIV)

I asked another question “Can’t you stop men from choosing wrongly. Why do you let men perish?”

He answered :

For God so loved the world that he gave

His only begotten Son

That whosoever believeth in Him

will not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 (KJV)

To believe in His Son is a choice. God desires that men by their own freewill choose Christ to live within them and allow His Holy Spirit to guide them through life. At the end of their earthly life, they will join with Him in Paradise and reign with Him as adopted children. Communing eternally with Him in His Kingdom, free from the pain of sin and separation from God.

Men see death as the end, when in truth it is the beginning. As you perform the task I have given you, there will be times when you will desire death when you witness all the evil that men will perform upon one another, but you will have to wait and continue to work until the Father chooses the time to intervene. When that time occurs I will return to gather My children. When I return, you too will pass from this earthly world and join with Me and My children in Paradise.”

“How long will that be?” I asked.

“Only the Father knows the time.” He answered.

Finally He said “I am sending you back into the world. I give you strength and courage to face the challenges that will come your way. My Holy Spirit will be within you to guide and comfort you. I will send My Angels to watch over, aid and protect you as you walk this journey.”

I opened my eyes and I felt the heat of the flame. The smell of brimstone was strong in my nostrils. I rose upon my knees, remembering the Garden and the One who met me there. When I arose and stood upon my feet, I felt different. I not only felt stronger spiritually, but physically. I looked upon my body and saw the heavy muscle that now covered me. My injuries were gone and I felt stronger than I had ever before. Though I could not see my face, I knew it had changed. My countenance had changed because I had been in the presence of my Master, Jesus Christ.

I sensed a presence and I turned to look into the transparent flame issuing from the pit and I saw hovering within it, Lucifer, the dragon. His malevolent eyes were fixed upon me as his voice thundered from out of the flame “I am your enemy Christian, know me well.”
