This is a true story of Jamie, our adopted son, first realizing he is slightly different from his parents. The first part is the bedtime story we told him every night, how he came to live at our home. This is one way of sharing the adoption story to children. Once realizing he was different, he drew a picture to show us. He did not understand why he looked different, but the love was there and that is what mattered. The story will help children and parents to understand that what is on the outside is just how they look; what is on the inside is what really counts. There is joy when families can laugh together; knowing the love for each other is what makes a difference. We know we have a God, who is answering prayers around the world and delights in bringing happiness and hope to families.

About the Author
Ginger Sanders is a well-known author and speaker about family life and God stories. She speaks at many functions, including retreats and banquets, across the country. Ginger has taught Bible studies and Christian classes for many years. She and her husband, Denny, have four children, two of whom were born in Seoul, South Korea, and adopted through Holt International Adoption Agency. Ginger and her husband served as chaplains with the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team, a ministry of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, and chaplains with their local law enforcement agencies. They reside in Florida and enjoy family time with their children and eleven grandchildren.
