When my first book, A dying Way of Life, was published, I was amazed at how many people enjoyed those stories about our simple, yet unfortunately disapperaring lifestyle, about days gone by as well as the straightforward Bible lessons. So, I merely decided to dig a little deeper inot that old notebook I carry in my hunting bag and continue. When those close to me question the title of this book, I said that I believe it could be taken a number of ways. With my love of telling stories, I have been accused on more than one occasion as merely "blowing smoke." You could also look at the tales from the past as a reminder of the brevity of our existence and how we truly are no more enduring than a puff of smoke. Whether you enjoy these stories of a simpler time or are challenged to grow spiritually during this mist we call life, I wrote this book with you in mind.

About the Author
An avid outdoorsman, Ben was raised in the piney hills and cypress swamps of North Louisiana. Even though a medical condition brought about an early exit from the public school classroom, he still invokes his love for storytelling as a youth minister in his home church. He and his wife, Kristin, and sons, Reagan and Michael, split their time between their home in Goldonna, Louisiana, and their camp on nearby Black Lake.
