U're Warned

Kegan turned with pistol pointing at Duncan and smiled. It was quiet for a few seconds and then Kegan lowered the weapon a little, not enough to send the surrender signal. Duncan wasn't happy. He wanted to physically educate Kegan about a lot of things but decided to let it pass. He figured that there were many ways to get even and he would save it for later. He turned without saying anything and headed home. Duncan's Dad was on duty and his mom was attending school out of town so no one in the family heard the shots but him. Duncan always enjoyed the serenity of the woods and often spent time walking, not just his back yard but many others. It didn't take long for Duncan to find his way around the community undetected as long as he dressed in dark clothes, carried a compass, flash light and knife. He would now need to consider carrying a weapon. Kegan's threat with the weapon had seriously ticked Duncan off. Kegan's clothes were so unusually neat Duncan couldn't stop thinking about what might have motivated Kegan's family to dress him that way, arm him with enough ammo to take out a tribe of Indians and position him to kill all of the rabbits in the neighborhood. A few days later Duncan had developed a research plan. He decided to collect more information about Kegan and his family. In the back of his mind he could still see the 22 pistol pointed at him.
