Trying to handle life’s problems on your own without conditioning is futile at best. Handled on your own, you may very well have gotten through the race. You jumped every hurdle (knocked a few down) and was the last to finish, but you finished. However, here’s the thing, the stress and exhaustion has left you drained for the next leg of the race. Asking God for guidance, direction, support and help in making decisions is the only way to get through the day and the situations that life throws at you intact and feeling as good at the end of the day as you did at the beginning. Again, understand that trusting, learning and allowing God to be in control does not mean a life of simple pleasures and nothing more to think about than what to wear. Life is tough, it is meant to be for it is in these times that we learn, and we are stretched and refined by God himself. I am not a believer in the phrase “God will not give you more than you can handle.” Because it is when we face those troubles or feel as if we are drowning that God wants us to come to Him. Problems are thrown at us and they come in waves and seasons but no matter how many problems, when they occur or the length of time they last, God wants us to know that we are not alone. God does not want us to be down trodden, burdened, suffering and beaten, so if we go to Him and trust in Him, He will carry all of it. Not every solution and answer will come as you might have expected, hoped for or desired. But, who do you want in control of your life? You? Let me borrow a line from Dr. Phil…”How’s that working for you?” Allow God to take control. Trust God, who can see the big picture. God is love which means He wants and desires for you, that which is best for you. Through every season He will help you to grow into a better person and in a deeper relationship with Him.

Jill Krantz is a person who has a passion for faith. Not just her own, but also in sharing with others the freedom and unspeakable joy there is to be found in a faith filled, deeply intimate relationship with God. Ms. Krantz is humbled to have joined the list of those least likely to be used by God for His purpose, when He put it on her heart to write a book about “The Simplicity of Faith”.
