I faintly remember turning around to see a man getting into his car a few driveways away. Since that is not something that is out of the ordinary, I paid little attention to him. (I have a heightened sense of awareness to that sound now). I told the baby to get up in her car seat and get ready to leave. She did so right away, for which I will be forever grateful; as that one moment of cooperation may have saved her life. I saw Brittany crawl into her seat and pull down the bar. (The car seats still had a padded safety bar). That was to be the final image in my mind of my children for quite a while, and the moment that would change my life forever.

About the Book
During an outing with her children, tragedy struck in what should have been certain death for Denise and her children; but through a series of miraculous events, they survived. Though Denise now lives with a physical disability, she realizes God was, and still is, watching over them every step of the way. Full of faith, hope and encouragement, Alive to Tell will inspire others to view their trials differently and begin a new life story.
About the Author
Denise is the mother of three children and ‘Gigi’ to four grandchildren. Her passion for writing came to fruition in her first book, Beyond the Mirror, an inspirational fiction, but she has now turned her attention to writing her true story. When she is not writing, she enjoys volunteering in her community, trips to the mountains and spending time with friends and family. She and her husband, Pete, currently reside in Jacksonville, Florida.
