About the Book

Confronted with a broken promise from her boyfriend, Jessica had been able to escape into her room until she was sure he was asleep in the two- bedroom suite.

She went to the bus depot but with no bus until late afternoon to go back to campus, she started walking along the beach. After four hours with no food or water, she was getting hungry and a little dizzy, but just as she started to collapse, she felt herself in strong but gentle arms before she even touched the ground.

Since C.J. had become the owner of the Beachside Resort, he was definitely not interested in a gold digger like the ones who had been pursuing him for the last five years. So what are these strange feelings he’s been having since carrying Jessica in his arms and hearing her story?

As time passes, he always seems to be near whenever she really needs help, so is he really her guardian angel as someone had suggested?

About the Author

While spending sixty-seven years living in Illinois, Sally had only read about the beautiful beaches along the eastern coast of our country. After the death of her first husband, she’d married J.T. Russell, and his children had lived in Virginia and the Carolinas for several years. On their visits, it was a thrill to finally see and walk on those beaches of North and South Carolina. As she was writing this story of Jessica and C.J., she could picture the places they had stayed, the boats they had watched, and the beaches they had walked.

She and J.T. left Galesburg, IL, to live in Charlotte, NC for over five years and then lived in Lawrence, KS for nine years until J.T. passed away. His son and daughter had both lived there for a time but are now again living in the southern states, and Sally has returned to Galesburg to be near her two sons and their families.

She will always have great memories of the trips they took to the Carolinas to visit and also for the weddings of the grandsons.
