Introduction:

As I prepared to leave the military, I thought about things I could do to continue to serve others. This book is a compilation of words of encouragement and The Word of God that can (and hopefully will) make a difference in your life.

My goal is to be a difference maker…to shine the light of Jesus in this dark world. May the words written bring the light of Jesus to your situation.

GRACE

God’s Grace Makes Me Happy Happy are those who are helped by the God of Jacob. Their hope is in the Lord their God. Psalm 146:5 (ICB)

God’s grace is sufficient; it is truly all we need. We just need to slow down and think about God’s matchless grace towards us. It will cause you to smile, to be thankful and happy. When you find yourself getting in a “mood”; just about to have a big “pity party,” STOP and think of all God has done for you. God is our Keeper, our strength, our Lord. God provides for us no matter what we do or don’t do. His love is from everlasting to everlasting. It Never stops. As the song says, “When I think about the goodness of Jesus and all He has done for me. I can dance, dance, dance all night!!” If you spend time thinking about God’s grace and mercy, you will have happiness, joy and be excited about your future. Keep looking up! Focus on God and His Great plan for your life. Your days will be full of peace and happiness! Be blessed!!! The Commentary: True happiness comes from within…look inside and ask the Holy Spirit to guide you and you will find true happiness

My Prayer: Lord, help me to focus on you. As I focus on your presence your love will fill me with joy. I Thank you Lord for your authentic joy. Amen

God’s Grace Sustains Me “Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.” Psalm 91:14-16 (NIV)

Truly when you look back over your life, you can say “God’s grace has sustained me.” Sustain means to support, hold, or bear up from below; bear the weight of. (dictionary.com) We are alive today and in our right mind because of and by God’s grace. In the last six months, how many times has God’s unmerited favor and mercy made a difference in your situations and challenges? I am a witness that it is only by God’s grace that I am who and where I am. I thank God for the grace he gives me daily. I am so blessed with favor and encouraged to move forward. I thank God for healing my son and daughter, for blessing me to experience His love and the love of my family. God taught me what real love is and how to share that love with others. I thank God for sustaining me in my business. So many people said, “Get a job; follow the crowd!” but I asked God to help me with my business. I wrote the vision and I was very specific about what I wanted to do and how many clients I wanted. Well I can stand here today and say that it is happening just as I wrote…right before my eyes….By the grace of God, my dream is becoming a reality. Praise God!! God will do over and above what we ask if we will first “Ask” and then “Believe” that it will happen. God’s grace will sustain and amaze you!! Be encouraged and know that God’s grace is available to you at all times. Challenge yourself to reflect on the ways that God has sustained you and Praise Him daily!! Be blessed.
